Seems it's difficult to keep yourself protected nowadays. I personally have run into malware and virus trouble even with Firefox as my primary browser. What to do? At first I looked at Symantec (Norton) Antivirus for help, but boy was I wrong. Not only did Symantec Antivirus not solve the problem for my virus, but it slowed my machine down big time! I spent countless hours on the internet searching around looking for something good.

What about malware? Spyware is such a pain in the ass because most of the time the installers are still on your computi. When your machine is restarted they are added back. A lot of spyware programs like AdAware, and Spybot Search & Corrupt miss a lot of files that are hazardous. My recommendation is to use PC Doctor, Hijackthis, and Startuplist together to fight the darkness of evil that is spyware. Good Luck.
One last thing if you want to better protect yourself get Firefox! or a Mac
